With season Two of Fruits Basket gearing up, we have had to say goodbye to some of our actors. Life calls and cannot be ignored. Therefore, we will be updating our audition page for Fruits Basket. If you are interested in the rolls that will soon be posted, please feel free to audition and/or share this with your friends. Expect the audition link to be updated by December 5th, that the latest.
We, at The Manga Project, regret to inform you that our current staff artist has decided to part ways and is now working as a full time teacher. We applaud her choice and wish her luck.
In the meantime, we now have an opening for a staff artist for the Fruits Basket project. This is a strictly volunteer project, and the artist will maintain all rights to their work, as well as added potential for advancement by having his/her work shared online as part of our "character introduction" videos, and other possible projects. All works will be linked back to the original artist, with full credit.
If you are interested in this position, please visit the Contact Us page, with "Audition for Staff Artist Position" as the subject. We will require samples of your work as part of this audition.
Greetings all! And thank you for showing your support for The Manga Project! It's been a great year so far! And though we will not be releasing any more episodes of Fruits Basket this year, we hope that you will continue to share the love with those around you, and let them know about us.
Fruits Basket will resume in January of 2014, and we hope to bring a few surprises along with the new season, though some of that is still up in the air, so we'll see. But all should be well and ready for the new year as we are gearing up to make this show even better than before!
Mimiko's Vacation, sequel to Shadows From The Past, will also be debuting in 2014. We don't have an official release month yet, but it will be either late winter or early spring. We're still recording lines and all of that technical stuff, but we'll let you know as the release time comes closer. Auditions are still open, if you are interested.
We also hope to be back at the convention scene soon, though that might not happen until later in 2014, pending on how many projects our director decides to take on, and how many her assistants can talk her out of taking.
So stay tuned! We'll update as we get closer!
Hi there! This is Karlie Lucas, the head producer for The Manga Project, as well as head director for most projects. We hope you enjoy our little blog and our updates!
