Plans still continue for release of new episode come January of 2019. There is no set day for release at this time. We will let you know as the time draws nearer.
I would like to announce that our official release month for new episodes of Fruits Basket will be January 2019. We will have an updated, dedicated Youtube page for this production, which we will share when the first episode of the new season is released.
Greetings to all our faithful fans, those who have stuck around and those who are just joining us. It's been a long road but we're finally making some good headway. We've recast a lot of different characters and are finally moving forward with putting episodes together. Fingers crossed, we'll be releasing the next episodes either late this Fall or early Winter.
I just want to extend my thanks to you all for your patience as we've worked through technical difficulties, recasting of characters, and everything else that has happened between here and our last release. It means a lot to all of us that you're still with us. And if you're new, welcome! The wait is almost at an end.
There are still some characters who need new voices. You can check them out under the Auditions page above. There may be a few more available before too long, but we're moving forwards as much as we can before that becomes a necessity. So please, continue to support us and help us spread the word. We're still here and we're not going anywhere.
Hello all! Here's the most recent update on the project. We are currently looking to replace our Kyo Sohma. The previous actor had to step down due to personal issues.
As far as production goes, we are moving ahead with recording episodes as far in advance as possible, with some episodes currently being mixed and sent to post production for music scoring. We hope to find a new Kyo soon so we can start releasing new episodes by the end of the year.
Thank you for your patience!
I know it has been some time since things were last updated here, but I think we're finally working out the kinks and other difficulties we've faced. We've got a great cast and crew, and some amazing talent and I can't wait to share them with you.
The current plan is to begin releasing episodes Fall of 2017. This is dependent on our current cast and crew being able to get everything done that we're currently working on, but I think we should be able to get things worked out for all of this to happen.
There are still openings for different characters in our auditions page. If you want to help out the project, or know anyone who would be interested, feel free to send in your audition. We can always use more voices!
On behave of all the cast here at the Manga Project, we would like to thank you for your support. We have undergone a rather trying past year, with actors coming and going faster than we'd like. And while we understand that life happens, it does make it hard to put together our show. I won't put all the blame on them, though, because part of it does fall on my shoulders.
Over the past year, I got wrangled into far too many projects. Not only was I working a full time job as a teacher, but I was trying to manage editing scripts, paring lines, casting actors, and trying to put episodes together for this project, on top of writing a trilogy of novels. Thankfully, I no longer have to worry about teaching as a full time time.
But with the time and space between, we have had to recast some of our favorite characters. However, I feel the new cast will be a great addition to our veteran crew. And, with fingers crossed, we will be releasing episodes again in 2017. We are recording as many shows in advance so that we don't run into the same problems we did before, mainly having cast members dropping out on us without much notice.
While this means you will have to wait a while longer for more episodes, it also means that we should be more consistent in presenting to you the various episodes. So, please welcome our new cast and keep holding in there! The best is yet to come!
I would like to announce that we are finally restarting production on Fruits Basket!
So, what does this mean? Well, it means we are working to replace those actors who had to leave the project, as well as mixing up new episodes, getting them musically scored and ready to upload. We are writing and editing scripts, making new sound effects, and working our tails off to bring you this awesome radio drama.
With a lot being done, cracks being filled in, etc, we plan on beginning to release new episodes in the first few months of 2016. This means that you will have new episodes to enjoy as soon as January 2016, but no later than March of next year.
I'm sure that the majority of you have now noticed that we have not been able to release any new episodes for some time. This is due to "real life" happening in the majority of our cast members, and crew's, lives. We apologize for this and wanted to let you know that we are still working on fixing these issues, including recasting various characters.
As this process is now going into the start of the school year (for most involved), things may slow down even more. We hope you will be patient as we try to get everything set and sorted.
We will let you know when production starts up once more.
Welcome to the New Year! Like anything that is worth waiting for, we hope that it won't be too much longer until we release our next episode of Fruits Basket.
But, due to a few casting changes, that will have to wait a bit longer than we originally anticipated. Things are still rolling forward, though, for us to begin releasing episodes later on this year.
As for the last Con Project, the music is almost finished for it and we should have it up by mid-February at the latest. (Our composer had a bout of illnesses that made her unable to work on the scores.)
Happy Holidays to all from everyone at The Manga Project!
We are working hard to get things back up and running and hope that you will be patient as we try to put everything back together.
May all your holiday wishes come true and we hope to see you next year!
