Greetings to all!
We at The Manga Project would like to apologize for not letting you know what is going on sooner. Our studio is moving! We're hoping our new location is a bit less noisy, from neighbors downstairs and next door. We have spent the last few weeks preparing everything for this move that will happen this weekend. However, we will still have to put everything back together again, which means there will not be any releases this month.
Fingers crossed, with this new move, and our main director/mixer getting married in less than three weeks, we hope to be back up and running by the end of June/beginning of July. Until then, please enjoy the previously released episodes of both our shows and hang tight!
Hello everyone!
Here's some news on Fruits Basket Episode Thirteen. After some very unexpected, and some expected, delays, we should have this episode up for you on March 31. We're working hard to get everything done and ready for you. Fingers are crossed that nothing else comes up to delay the release. But please remember that everyone working on this project is either a college student or working full time, even our director and mixer.
Also, we should soon have another Con Project ready for your listening pleasure, in April. No, we're not appearing at another convention, but this is one that was recorded, in part, at Anime Vegas this last November. We're finally able to put this one together and hope that you will enjoy it.
With our director's wedding less than three months away, things will be getting a bit hectic for us at The Manga Project. We'll try to keep it to one release a month, at least Fruits Basket wise, but we can't guarantee this, so please bear with us as things get more crazy for a bit. We'll do our best, but everyone knows that life throws unexpected curve balls at you from time to time, so thank you for your patience! It is greatly appreciated.
Greetings all!
It's the month of February, and I'm sure quite a few of you are wondering where the episodes of Fruits Basket are, since we haven't uploaded any for a few months. Don't despair. Episode Thirteen is still in production and will be released around mid March. Several technical difficulties have delayed the release, and we apologize for this, but definitely look forward to this release coming soon! We have big plans for this, and upcoming episodes, including new music!
In the meantime, the final episode of Shadows From The Past will be released by the end of this month, about the 26th, thus completing this section of our Black Blood Brothers story. But wait! The next installment of this story will arrive late summer/early fall with Mimiko's Vacation! We will have some returning cast members, as well as some new voices and characters, so look forward to that!
And, lastly, for this update, we will be, once again, presenting at Anime Fannatiku in St. George Utah! This convention takes place over March 1st and 2nd, and if you are able to make it out there, please do so! We would love to see you there! And who knows, maybe you can try your voice out for another Con Project!
Well, that's all for now. We'll keep you posted if there are any changes or other exciting things going on!
We at The Manga Project, would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! As token of our well wishes, we present our newest episode of Fruits Basket, A Christmas special based off of the manga. We hope this bit of "foolery" will help lighting the holidays and fill your day with joy and laughter as you take a peek inside the holidays of the Sohma Family, as they try to bring some Christmas joy to those around them.
Your feedback is important to us and we strive to give you the best quality we can. Please note that this is not always possible, as we are all fans and not yet professionals undertaking a monumental project. We hope you enjoy our efforts and will share our projects with your friends and family. In return, we will do our best to give you monthly episode releases and keep to the essence of the story.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Greetings all! It's December, and, sadly, I, as the director, have to admit that we're a bit behind in both productions. Illnesses, school finals, and other items have kept us all from staying on track this holiday season. But, we have high hopes of catching back up with the coming of the new year. So, here's what you have to look forward to:
December 25: We will be releasing an episode of Fruits Basket
January: We will be releasing the second to last episode of Shadows From The Past, as well as another episode of Fruits Basket, possibly two.
February: We say goodbye to Shadows From The Past as we release the final episode of this production, but have no fear! The sequel will soon be in production. We will also be releasing another episode of Fruits Basket.
March: Expect one, possibly two episodes of Fruits Basket this month, and maybe a Con Project (We're not sure on this one yet, but it depends on if we get panels at Fannatiku Fest this coming year or not.)
April: We hope the first episode of Mimiko's Vacation will make an appearance during this month. At the very least, you will get an episode of Fruits Basket, possibly two.
May: You should see the release of another Fruits Basket Episode and one of Mimiko's Vacation.
June: Well, you'll get at least one episode of Fruits Basket, we hope. We make no guarantees this month as the director will be getting married, but our fingers are crossed.
July-December: Expect an episode of Mimiko's Vacation, and an episode of Fruits Basket.
Everything above is, of course, subject to change. If it does, we will let you know. Official release dates will be provided as we get closer to each release.
Due to scheduling constraints, we may have to hold off on doing the Con Project production for Anime Vegas and use it at another convention instead. However, we are hoping that this won't be the case. So, if any of you are going to Anime Vegas and would like to pre-audition for this show, send us a message through this website and we'll get you the info you need!
Hey everyone! Again, it's been a while since we last updated here, but there's been a few things that have happened, including the release of Episode 12 of Fruits Basket, and a cast change with the character of Shigure Sohma. Let us know what you think of the new voice behind the character! We look forward to releasing episode 13 near the end of November/beginning of December.
Shadows From The Past has been delayed in release due to technical difficulties, but the next episode will be released later on in November.
Our second Con Project will also be released in the second half of November. We will be recording for this production at Anime Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada over the Memorial Day weekend, so if you are there in the area and want a shot in the show, stop by our "Voice Acting For The Average Joe" panel! We'd love to have you stop by! Also, feel free to join us during our mixing and editing panel during the same convention, where we will be looking at how to mix and edit using Audacity.
And, for those who aren't a fan of our producer and creator, Karlie Jackson, she got engaged two weeks ago! So feel free to congratulate her if the opportunity presents!
And that's just about all for now. We'll keep you updated on official release dates as they are given to us. Until then, have a great weekend!
I know it's been a while since I posted an update here but I would like to go ahead and do so now. We've made a few changes to the website, as you can clearly see. In an attempt to help make the main page and navigation bar less cluttered, we have cleaned up a bit and linked pages in a more organized manner to help keep things simple for everyone.
We recently launched our "Con Projects" division, which will be updated with each new convention we present on voice acting. If you would like us to visit a convention near you, please feel free to email us details, and then request which ever convention you want us to attend to invite us there as official guests. We would love to be able to come to any and all that are within our means to do so.
Fruits Basket Episode Twelve is in production, though the release has been delayed due to the health of the director, along with a few other unexpected developments that have delayed the release. This episode will be released later on in October, with the potential of a double-release with Episode Thirteen, so look forward to that.
We have added a contest page to our website, with the current contest for short stories and scripts that may be used in future Con Projects. The deadline is October 20th and details can be found on the Contest page.
We thank you all for your patience as we try to get things back up and going after a rather eventful month, and we look forward to see you and many more new faces as we continue to endeavor to bring you the best radio dramas possible!
Thank you Anime Fest for being such an awesome convention! For those who were able to make it out, and saw our panel about voice acting, thank you!
For those who were unable to attend, we had an onsite audition and recording session in panel for a short production, which will be posted up later this week on the website. We'll be creating a special page for these types of projects, projects voiced by you, the audience! So, if you want to be a part, down the road, just follow where we're going at the cons!
Anime Fest's show is called Giggling Training, from the Bleach fandom, and was written by Helen Taylor.
If you were one of the lucky people chosen to voice in this show, please let us know so that we can make sure you were properly credited for your work.
We look forward to seeing more of you at Anime Vegas later on in November!
Episode eleven of Fruits Basket has officially been released! We hope you enjoy the continuation of this story, along with the introduction of Hatsuharu Sohma into the active cast!
Feel free to share this, and other episodes, with your friends!
One more week to Anime Fest and our panel on voice acting!
